Maestro Tom’s art was featured in The Reflections and Emotions 4th Exhibit along with fellow Artists Lea La Guardia, held at The Next Level Restaurant in Centurion Star, 28th of November – 27th of December. The ribbon cutting was commenced by Consulate General Mr. Paul Cortez, Dra. Yasmin Balajadia- Cortes, Madam Marlene Murphy, Founder of Disenyo Global and Ms. Vagelyn Tumbaga Federico, HR Director of Dusit Thani Dubai. Produced by Julius Cesar Villarta. Auctions and Art Gift-Giving occurred through draw lots. It was truly one of the exciting parts of the program. Winners received specially made art works ranging from framed abstract pastel paintings and mixed media art that are perfect for home or office display.
He created the festive humongous Bayanihan 2017 archs for every segment of the competition (fruit carving, make-up, photography and on- the-spot painting contests). Maestro Tom and Ms. Marlene Murphy of Disenyo Global and JuanDubai became the judges of the on-the-spot painting contest. The Bayanihan 2017 was celebrated in Dubai World Trade Center, 15th of December 2017.
The Art and Music Concert and Birthday Bash was momentously celebrated, with Ms. Marge Gomez, founder of United DDS UAE, held at Sun and Sands Hotel with Mr. Jeffrey Dimaano as his guest singer. All sang their hearts out at The Laugh Factory. The event was organized by Ms. Chini Zaragoza Fiecas and Ms. Maria Luisa Andres, Directed by Mr. Julius Cesar Villarta. There was a special dedication to Sir Tom by rekindling his life story. He rendered songs to his guests and conducted live sketches too.
Another Birthday celebration for Maestro Tom, was made possible by the good heart of Fiesta Pinoy Restaurant Owner, Mr. Houssam Abdul Malak in 7th January 2018. Media personalities and more of his friends were able to pay tribute to his exemplary talent as an artist and also took part in witnessing his art exhibition in the restaurant itself.
Maestro Tom, who is also a team leader of the ERA Perfume Company, had a special participation in sponsoring New Look 2018 on its 11th Beauty and Fashion Exhibition, last 29th January to 3rd of February, Era promoted their fragrance bestsellers in the event. Special Thanks to the Ms. Alpha Omega Isip Visda, Mr. Emil Alvaro (Era Company Owners) and Ms. Marge Gomez (team leader), and Ms. Rowena Cabanban Padama (sponsored the booth and event organizer) who advocated and exhibited Maestro Tom’s masterpiece in the show.
Highlighting one of his huge partnership and collaboration is the FashUnity – IACAD 2018, “The World of Innovation.” Maestro Tom and Madam Marlene Murphy, was invited by Madam Wafa Qasimieh, Senior Executive Cultural Officer of Mohammad Bin Rashid Center for Islamic Culture at Dept. of Islamic Affairs, Gov't of Dubai. The Team of Creative Philippines was lead by Madam Marlene Murphy of Disenyo Global, in collaboration with Mr.
Mykhel Reyes, Mr. Julius Cesar, Mr. Anthony Sigua, Ms. Mariz del Rio and Ms. Charolyn Baudi of JuanDubai. Moreover, making the Creative Philippines booth beautiful was made possible by Ms. Gia Cielo Cortez Angeles of Carriera Events for the Booth Design and Set-up, Ms. Ji Jarder with her Mixed Media Artworks, Mr. Chris Calumberan featuring his Photography and Advocacy “Litter of Light,” Mr. Eric Talledo for Saya’t Barong Couture, Mr. Jules Quirante for “Saya”, Mr. Jeff Canare for “Coffee Painting,” and lastly, yours truly, Mariz del Rio of “Marizhoes Sandals.”
To further accentuate Maestro Tom’s works, his Baba Zayed’s painting was positioned at the center of the entire exhibit, as a commemoration of the great leader’s timeless and excellent leadership. He put forth hardwork in accomplishing the outdoor design and exterior look of the entire FashUnity booth and activities set-up.
On 27th April, Fiestahan 2018 was held at Roda Al Bustan Hotel. For this event, Maestro Tom was invited by the Founder of Filipino Institute, Mr. Gabriel John Rimando. Maestro Tom was greatly applauded by his beloved guests as he exhibited his paintings (titled as Greener Pasture) which were flared with color and radiance. He further displayed his prowess in sketching during the event, melting the hearts of everyone. His sketches were ardently complimented by Beauty Queens and Super Models namely Ms. Earth 2015 Angelia Ong, Aya Besamis, Jasmine Maierhofer and Yveth Santiago. Mama Renee Salud was also happy and adored his sketch of her. The Juto Box, Maestro Tom’s personalized craft, was given as a gift to Ms. Macky and Ms. Vilma of ANC during the event. For which they are grateful to have, treating the gift like a treasure box.
Michael Cinco, an internationally acclaimed Filipino designer, loved Maestro Tom’s masterpiece “Love”. He later became a collector of Tom Alvarado’s painting and this was supported by Madam Marlene Murphy. Indeed, it is a dream come true for Tom to have personally delivered his artworks to one of his long time idols (May 16, 2018). Michael Cinco together with Madam Marlene Murphy, are both strong influences to Maestro Tom’s sensational success.
Lastly Tom Alvarado had showcased his “Heritage” painting and has been recognized by the Consulate General of the Philippines in Dubai and the Northern Emirates for his invaluable support to the Consulate General of the Republic of the Philippines and for his unparallel commitment to uplift the image of the Filipino through his numerous arts exhibits in Dubai and the rest of the United Arab Emirates.
